Dungeons & Dragons

Dungeons & Dragons is the category for live D&D campaigns and one-shots - groups of players and a Dungeon Master telling a story together, with dice rolls, character voices and plenty of improvisation.

Actual-play shows grew into a big streaming genre in the late 2010s, with Critical Role - which started on Twitch in 2015 - as the best-known example. Streams range from casual home games to fully produced shows with sets, maps and music.
