Just Chatting

Just Chatting is Twitch's home for streams where the conversation is the content: streamers talking with their chat, reacting to videos, answering questions, hanging out with guests or simply starting the day before switching to a game.

It was introduced in 2018, when Twitch split the old catch-all IRL category into several more specific ones. Within a couple of years it became the most-watched category on the entire platform - bigger than any single game - and it has stayed at or near the top ever since.

Typical streams

• Reaction and watch-along content
• Q&A sessions and community hangouts
• "Pre-game" chatting before the main stream
• Talk-focused streams with guests
