Context
Special Events is used for one-off and scheduled broadcasts that don't fit into a regular category such as conventions and live shows, award ceremonies, charity events, official announcements and other big moments.
Twitch itself often uses this category for its own event broadcasts, and many official partner broadcasts (premieres, showcases, festivals) appear here while they're live.
The first big show after the category existed was TwitchCon 2018, 26-28 October at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center, about 30,000 people.
