Twitch Plays

Twitch Plays is the category for streams where the chat controls what happens, viewers type commands that are fed into a game or into the stream itself.

The format goes back to "Twitch Plays Pokémon" in February 2014, where tens of thousands of viewers collectively played Pokémon Red by typing button inputs into chat. Today the category includes crowd-controlled games, chat-vs-streamer challenges and interactive experiments.
