Twitch Global Emote

DendiFace is Danil 'Dendi' Ishutin, the Ukrainian Dota 2 mid player famous with Natus Vincere (Na'Vi). 'Dendiface' was a fan meme about Dendi's goofy, expressive faces long before Twitch added the emote ('it's dendiface time!', 2013). The emote arrived around 17-18 November 2014 ('DendiFace coming to a @Twitch near you soon.'), together with PuppeyFace for Dendi's longtime teammate Puppey. Twitch never explained why it picked them.

Dendi adopted it as a signature: stream announcements open and close with it ('IT'S DONDO TIME !!! DendiFace'), and Dendi keeps reminding people to type 'DendiFace (no space)' so it shows up. Na'Vi's official account retweeted several of these posts. In chat it is the hype and celebration face for Dendi and Na'Vi: 'DendiFace DAILY DendiFace REMINDER DendiFace THAT DendiFace NAVI DendiFace IS DendiFace BACK' (2015).
