Twitch Global Emote

KevinTurtle is the face of Amahni, a former Justin.tv/Twitch staff member whose X bio reads 'Former Partnerships at @Twitch | I Am #KevinTurtle'. It arrived with a set of new emotes around the start of September 2011; asked for 'the codes for all the new emotes', Amahni answered 'KevinTurtle ... lol jk I only know mine and SoBayed'.

Amahni also explained the name: 'On the site I work for random people think my name is kevin for some reason lol... and people call me a turtle', 'so I made my face code on the chat KevinTurtle'. In 2013 Amahni joked 'someone edited my TwitchTV face. I'm no longer KevinTurtle ... Meet KevinSquirtle'.

Amahni pushed it hard ('#KevinTurtle will trend one day even if it kills me!', 'spam twitch chats with KevinTurtle. Best face ever.'), and chat delivered: long KevinTurtle spam lines ran through events like CEO 2012 and AGDQ 2014. Some viewers never realised it was a face code; one 'thought I was talking about a guy named Kevin'.
