Twitch Global Emote

LUL is based on John 'TotalBiscuit' Bain. After Bain died in May 2018, Twitch wrote that 'the emote bearing his face represents the indelible mark that he has left on Twitch'. Twitch also included LUL in its Top Global Emotes of 2017.

Photographed 23 June 2013 at Major League Gaming Anaheim. First used as the channel sub emote “cynicalLaugh”; later popularized via BetterTTV as LUL and made a global Twitch emote on 1 September 2017
