Twitch Global Emote

MrDestructoid is Mr. Destructoid, the robot mascot of the gaming site Destructoid. The site confirmed this on its 15th birthday in 2021: 'our mascot Mr. Destructoid has also haunted Twitch for years as a popular emoji'. According to Destructoid's own press page, founder Yanier 'Niero' Gonzalez created the robot as a cheap, home-made way to promote the site at gaming events: he 'made his first version of the helmet by bolting together air conditioner and car parts'.

With emote ID 28, MrDestructoid is one of the oldest emotes on Twitch, dating back to Justin.tv. Twitch ranked it 8th in its Top Global Emotes of 2017.
