Twitch Global Emote

PartyTime carries the face of Pluto, a longtime member of Twitch's Partnerships team. Pluto previewed it on 15 December 2015 ('Global Emote - code: PartyTime thoughts?!') and half an hour later: 'OH MY GOD IT'S LIVE PLEASE GO SPAM PartyTime EVERYWHERE'. At Twitch's SXSW Gaming booth in 2016 a streamer was excited about 'meeting Mr. PartyTime himself'. Twitch never explained how a staff face became a global emote.

In chat PartyTime is the celebration emote, spammed for hype, wins, birthdays, raids and 'the party is starting' moments. Twitch uses it as a cheer too, opening a Magic: The Gathering esports announcement in 2017 with 'TriHard NotLikeThis SeemsGood PartyTime BY YOUR EMOTES COMBINED…'.
