Twitch Global Emote

PogChamp is the emote for big moments. When Twitch's data science team looked at which emotes chat posts on clips in 2017, they described PogChamp as an emote "typically used to express awe".

Today's PogChamp is the KomodoHype lizard. In January 2021 Twitch retired the old PogChamp face and, from 8 January, showed a new community creator's face every 24 hours, an idea Day9 suggested. On 12 February 2021 Twitch announced that 'the community has spoken' and activated a new permanent face of Pog.

At TwitchCon Rotterdam 2026, Twitch announced the Mythic Train: a Hype Train that rewards contributors with a golden version of an emote such as PogChamp, which can then be used across Twitch for 24 hours.
