Twitch Global Emote

PRChase is the face of Chase, Twitch's former PR director, whose X bio lists 'fmr Twitch & SE PR Director | Global Emote: PRChase'. It went global around 30 October 2014, when a streamer wrote '@Twitch took away my emote aryChase . It is reborn today as a Global emote "PRChase"', and Chase reposted it. The name is just 'PR' plus 'Chase'.

Chase has joked for years that it never found a meaning: 'I think there needs to be an established context for the PRChase emote to take off. Like when somebody says a bad pun.' (2014), 'If PRChase ever took off, it would be a sign of the apocalypse.' (2016), and when Twitch retired PogChamp in 2021, 'the PRChase emote doesnt have a set meaning yet so i can be your PogChase'. StreamElements later pitched it 'for when streamers make dad jokes'.

It did make Chase recognizable: in 2024, 'For the first time ever a person said "you're the PRChase guy from the emote" and asked for an autograph.'
