Twitch Global Emote

RitzMitz is the personal emote of the streamer and YouTuber Ritz (@RitzPlays). Ritz announced it on 17 November 2013: 'Got my own Twitch Emote!!! Next time you are on twitch type RitzMitz to see it!!! Thanks @HorrorTheCat'. The name rhymes on the handle; Ritz never explained the 'Mitz'.

Ritz uses it as a signature, in stream titles and posts, and urges viewers to 'get those RitzMitz up'. When Twitch redrew a batch of emotes in 2015 Ritz joked 'I'm afraid to understand what RitzMitz became...', and on Twitch's 2015 Emote Power Rankings asked 'The important question is how often is RitzMitz used?' In 2023, asked whether people on emotes earn anything, Ritz answered: 'Seeing as I had to sign over the rights to my Global Emote I HIGHLY doubt it'.

Early fans used it to cheer and spam: 'when someone dies on stream throw up ya RitzMitz!'
