Twitch Global Emote

twitchRaid has been around since August 2015, more than two years before raids became an official feature. Back then, raids were organized by communities moving together to another channel, often alongside Host Mode, which Twitch launched in July 2014.

Twitch made raids official in November 2017: 'Our new Raids feature is now available to all streamers! Step 1: Type /raid and a channel you like. Step 2: That's it.'
