Context

WTRuck blends 'WTF' and 'Ruckus' and is tied to the streamer Eddie Ruckus. It arrived in August 2013 ('I see Twitch has added a few new emotes', 'I'll be using WTRuck a lot'), and viewers tagged Eddie Ruckus right away: 'WTRuck will now be my go to twitch face for "Cmon... really?"'. #WTRuck was already a hashtag in the Ruckus community a few months earlier, so the phrase started as a catchphrase there. Eddie Ruckus's posts from that time are gone, so no word from the streamer about it survives.

In chat it is a disbelieving 'what the…?' at bad luck, absurd situations or someone else's nonsense, and it escaped Twitch as a hashtag for small daily frustrations: 'Only 10 minutes? #WTRuck'. When Twitch asked for favourite emotes in 2015, one viewer answered 'I have to go with WTRuck'. Its current ID belongs to the autumn 2016 wave of re-uploaded emotes.
