Twitch Global Badge

This badge is shown next to chatbots that a broadcaster has added to their channel, to make it easier for viewers to tell bots apart from human chatters. It appears automatically when a bot sends a message through the Send Chat Message API using an app access token and either has the channel:bot scope authorized by the broadcaster or moderator status in that channel; the broadcaster's own account never shows the badge. When displayed, it replaces the bot's global vanity badge, and qualifying bots are also listed under a separate "Chat Bots" section of the Users in Chat list.

The badge was added to the badge registry on June 9, 2025, and Twitch publicly announced the rollout on August 28, 2025. It cannot be earned by regular viewers, it only applies to third-party bot accounts, and developers had to update their API integrations for it to appear.
