This badge is shown next to users whose identity has been verified by Twitch, and appears as a purple checkmark in chat. All Twitch Partners are automatically granted access to it. The badge uses the same global badge slot as Turbo, Bits and similar badges, so Verified users can toggle it off in their chat settings to go incognito.
It was introduced in April 2017. Twitch stated at launch that it would develop a policy on which additional users might qualify for the badge, but Partner status remains the standard way to receive it.
