It was part of the Support a Streamer promotion for the launch of Path of Exile 2's update 0.3.0, The Third Edict, which ran alongside two weeks of Twitch Drops. Subscribing 2 subscriptions during the same window also unlocked the Storm of Valako Portal in game. The campaign was temporarily paused on launch day due to an issue, and subscriptions made during the pause received the badge retroactively once it was re-enabled.
