Twitch Global Badge

This badge is displayed by the viewer who currently holds first place on a channel's gift subscription leaderboard, part of Twitch's Leaderboards feature. It is not tied to any game or event and has no time limit. Although it is registered as a global badge, it only appears in the chat of the channel where the rank is held, and it passes to another viewer as soon as they gift more subscriptions and take over the top spot.

It is version 1 of the sub-gift-leader set, which also contains Gifter Leader 2 and Gifter Leader 3 for the second and third places on the leaderboard. The exact date the badge was introduced is not officially documented, though Twitch rolled out the Leaderboards feature broadly in early 2020.
