This badge is displayed by streamers who are enrolled in the Twitch DJ Program, which lets DJs livestream the vast majority of popular music in the DJs category under licensing agreements between Twitch and Universal Music Group, Warner Music Group, Sony Music and independent labels represented by Merlin.
The program was announced in June 2024 and opened for sign-ups on August 1 of that year, with the DJs category launching on August 8 alongside a week-long global DJ celebration. The badge appeared in the badge registry on June 13, one week after the announcement.
