Twitch Global Badge

This badge is shown next to users who have been granted VIP status in a channel. VIPs are appointed by the broadcaster or the channel's editors, for example with the /vip command or from the community roles management page, and the badge only appears in chat for the channels where the user holds that role.

The VIP role was introduced by Twitch in 2018 as a way for broadcasters to recognize valued members of their community. Channels unlock a limited number of VIP slots after completing Twitch's community-building achievement, and VIPs can chat without being affected by slow, sub-only and followers-only chat modes.
