Twitch Global Emote

SoonerLater arrived in December 2012 in a batch of new faces that also brought 4Head, OpieOP, HotPokket and FailFish ('soonerlater and opieop best new faces'). Viewers tied it to League of Legends streamer Sooner (@LoLSooner) from early on ('@LoLSooner I'm in love with your SoonerLater emote !'), though Sooner never commented publicly. Chat uses it for a sly, creepy stare: watching, teasing, innuendo.

Around 18 December 2016 the original image was replaced, to loud complaints, and no reason was ever given. The browser extension FrankerFaceZ brought the old face back as LaterSooner.
