Twitch Global Emote

ThankEgg arrived on 30 March 2017 in a batch of eleven new global emotes, most with Japanese-style names: KonCha, PunOko, TehePelo, InuyoFace, Kappu, BigPhish, SabaPing, TearGlove, BegWan, ThankEgg and ArigatoNas. Twitch never explained the set, and viewers were left guessing where it came from.

Chat uses it to say thanks, and also for a deep bow: Japanese users compare it to a dogeza, the kneeling bow, and stream-schedule posts in many languages use it to apologize for a cancelled stream. The Northernlion community made it an egg deity on day one: 'YOU HAVE SINNED ThankEgg NOW YOU BEG', pairing it with BegWan from the same batch.
